It’s a classic stereotype: “Girls don’t know much about football.” In some cases, this statement may be true. For other girls, however, football is as much a part of life as eating, sleeping, and school. Take junior Vira H., for example. Not only is she one of the more experienced football trainers at BT, but she’s also the sports guru for Trinity Press. She’s an avid University of Oregon fan and knows the sport inside and out. In comparison, junior Julia K. and Abby P. are not as educated on the religion of the South.
In this first Trinity Press podcast, two female members of the online newspaper staff, Julia and Abby, sit down with Vira as she explains wide receivers, first downs, and exactly what that yellow two-pronged fork thing is anyway.
