Blessed Trinity senior MacKenzie Kristufek had one of her photographs chosen for the Atlanta High School Art Exhibition that was held at the Atlanta Dogwood Festival this April. Her photography was part of 120 works of art chosen from over 700 pieces of art entered from high schools from twelve counties in the metro Atlanta area. Then 17 works of art from the 120 were chosen to be displayed at the Atlanta Art Institute gallery and MacKenzie’s photo was one of those chosen. After a couple of weeks at the AAI gallery all of the 120 works of art were displayed at the Atlanta Dogwood Festival. This is the first time Blessed Trinity has ever competed in the Atlanta High School Art Exhibition. Mackenzie ‘s work was part of some of the best young artistic talent in Georgia. Congratulations Mackenzie!
The Georgia Photography Awards and Exhibition
In early April, BT Digital Photo students participated in the “The Georgia Photography Awards and Exhibition”, which was sponsored by Pace Academy and Atlanta Celebrates Photography. This is a photography exhibition that draws student participation from high schools all over the Atlanta area. Each school is limited to ten submissions and is judged by a profession photographer. Blessed Trinity got three Honorable Mentions from the ten photographs that were submitted.
Congratulations to sophomores Nicholas Wagner, Catherine Allsteadt, and Brenna Donovan for their Honorable Mention recognition.
