The Fine Arts Association annually funds summer scholarships for deserving Fine Arts students to continue their arts education outside of BT during the summer months. The application is open and available to all current BT students in Band, Chorus, Dance, Drama and Visual Arts.
You can locate the application online. or on the school website . Deadline for turning in your scholarship application to Mrs. Mueller has been extended to Monday, May 2. Winners will be contacted by the Fine Arts Association president and a reception with presentation of the scholarships will take place after school at 3pm on Thursday, May 9.
On Sunday, May 1 the final Symphonic Band Concert will be held at 7:30pm in the theater. Music will include a cross section of classical, popular, jazz, and movie soundtracks plus a special performance by our energetic drumline! The photo/art exhibit will also be on display with creative student works. Tickets are only $5 at the door or may be included in your Fine arts Association membership.
The final Choral Concert will be held on Friday, May 6 at 7:30pm in the theater. This culminating event of the Spring Choral Concert, the Concert Choir, Blessed Trinitones, World Percussion and Advanced World Percussion ensembles will showcase a year’s worth of hard work from the students. You will get a hint of classical, a dash of Jazz, sprinklings of pop and show tunes, and a heavy layer of world music that will immerse you in a dizzying cultural frenzy of drum beats, mallet expertise, and steel drums! The photo/art exhibit will again be on display with creative student works. Tickets are only $5 at the door or may be included in your Fine arts Association membership.
We welcome those who have been with us before as well as all newcomers! This year, we’re offering Acting (June 6-10) and Musical Theatre (June 13-17). Our camps have become an important part of the theater program at BT, and every year we’re amazed at the talented young people. BT students learn important life lessons for on and off stage, so we hope to see you there! Please note that demand for camp increases every year, and all spots filled up last year.
