Three BT students advancing to the state level. The winners were first place Lauren Nohl in Client Service, second place Caroline Riedl in Public Speaking I, and third place Norman Francis in Sales Presentation. Brennan O’Connor earned an impressive third place in the Impromptu Speaking event. Unfortunately, only the top two advance in that event.
The two team winners who earned a sixth place honor were Victoria Masterson and Leonor Maliszewski in Website Design and Alana and Tara Fierce in Business Ethics. The Website Design team of Rachel and Elizabeth Leinmiller came in tenth place. While, the Sports and Entertainment Marketing team of Ryan Cooper and Noah Jones came in twelfth place in the region.
“Even though none of our teams advanced to state, they represented themselves and Blessed Trinity well,” according to Ms. Su Craddock, BT business teacher and FBLA moderator. “Every BT FBLA member who competed was in the top 12 for the region, which was quite impressive given the competition. Our region, Region 9, encompasses all schools in Fulton and Fayette counties. We are so proud of our students and their achievements.”
Students can compete in state-only events. Therefore, if a student did not fair well or compete at regions, they have another chance to place and advance to the national level. Please wish the BT FBLA chapter students luck at the State Leadership Conference which takes place from March 6 through March 8 at the Classic Center in Athens, GA.
