BT’s SAT Prep Class

SATDear Parents of Junior Students at Blessed Trinity Catholic High School:

We wanted to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves to you and inform you of an SAT Prep Class which we offer at BT.  You may already know us.  We are either currently teaching your son or daughter in math or English or we have taught them or their siblings. Vanessa has been teaching English in south Florida for 16 years and at Blessed Trinity for the past three years, and this is Lisa’s eleventh year of teaching math at BT. This will be the tenth year this SAT Prep Class has been offered.

The design we use involves having half the students meet with the Math teacher and the other half of the students meet with the English teacher.  At the end of an hour and a half, the two groups switch. Students are placed according to the critical reading and writing results of the PSAT test given in October.  We meet for three hours: 10:00-1:00 on Saturdays for six sessions before the first spring SAT sitting, March 5.

We believe that what we offer our juniors is unique because in addition to our test-taking expertise, we have many years of classroom experience.  Our day-to-day relationships with our students foster a genuine interest and care for their success. The BT setting also provides a sense of security in a familiar place for our students.  We are invested in them beyond just their SAT score.

Attached is the flyer for the class.  Thank you for taking the time to read our letter.  We would welcome the opportunity to help prepare your son or daughter for a successful SAT.  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to e-mail us.

Sincerely,

Vanessa Necolettos                                    Lisa Ragan
